Stan & Ryan are life size mannequins.

At every level of patient care, hands on experience is the best teacher. The human Patient Simulator (Stan), a computer driven full sized mannequin delivers that experience in true to life scenarios that swiftly change to meet the instructors’ goals. Stan blinks, speaks and breathes, has a heartbeat and a pulse, and mirrors human responses to such procedures as CPR, intravenous medication, intubation, ventilation and catheterization.

Ryan makes it possible to prepare learners for interaction with our most vulnerable patients - in a safe, realistic learning environment. Intricate details such as realistic touch and feel, clenched fists and a layer of baby fat help create an appropriate representation of a three to six month old infant.
