“ Coming to In Touch Care is good because you get to learn about childcare and at the same time learn about life skills, good practice and how to better yourself - like finishing school and then doing NVQ’s. The learning through play programme is really good as you get to do practical activities like you would be doing if you worked in a nursery. Things like, baking, making play dough, painting and making puppets. We even get the opportunity to carry out activities with children. We do lots of different types of work - working in teams, working on your own and working on computers. Its not like going to school the tutors are friendly, give help when you need it and treat you with respect. “
“ I started with In Touch Care last December. I didn’t think I would like it at first as I thought it was going to be like school, but now I know the staff and the other learners I like it a lot better. The reason I enjoy coming to In Touch Care is because I like child care and I wanted to learn new things like the Learning Through Play programme - units 1,2 & 3, practical activities, key skills, story sacks, teach with teddies and art studies. I really like coming to In Touch Care on Friday’s, the staff are really nice and kind to all of the learner’s.”
